Aquamonix were engaged by a Queensland water authority to supply and install a PTZ camera. The camera was commissioned to monitor a road causeway which is prone to flooding during heavy rain and dam overflow events.

How we helped

The 30X zoom camera performs the important duty of not only monitoring the causeway, but also providing the water authority the ability to zoom in and check gauge boards for water depth during an event.

The camera system is solar-powered, with 4G communications and is mounted on a tilting pole to ensure easy and safe access when servicing and maintenance occur. During future rain or overflow events, the camera will assist to keep authorities informed about water levels so the community can be made aware of conditions and keep it safe.
