2 horn flood warning siren system

How we helped

After a once in a thousand-year flood occurred in Dungog NSW, it was identified that the residents required more warning to evacuate safely during heavy rain events.

The devastating flood event inundated much of Dungog township, tragically claiming five lives. In response, the Dungog Shire Council sought an early warning system to enhance community safety and provide peace of mind for residents. Aquamonix Solutions delivered an effective two-horn siren system tailored to the council’s needs. This advanced flood warning system bolsters the community’s resilience during heavy rain and flood events. The Aquamonix team successfully delivered this critical project on time and within budget, reaffirming their commitment to innovative and reliable solutions.

Testimonial

“The flood warning siren is an important piece of infrastructure for community safety and resilience. Aquamonix were awarded the contract late last year to install the system and have exceeded our expectations with project delivery. Dungog now has an operational siren system to provide reassurance to residents they will receive forewarning during heavy rain events that evacuation may be required.”

Our quality assurance

Local Buy Supplier

Local Buy helps alleviate the need for open market tenders by managing the procurement compliance burden on behalf of all Local Government agencies. All Local Buy arrangements are compliant with the Local Government Regulations 2012 and Local Government Act 2009 and provide Local Government entities with the assurance that all suppliers are vetted and compliant based on a comprehensive tender, evaluation, and approval process.
